Arts Awards at Art for Artists CIC

At Art for Artists CIC, we believe in inclusion, self-leadership, creativity, accessibility, engagement, and creating meaningful opportunities for children and young people through the arts.

Our programmes are designed to provide accessible creative pathways for all children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are passionate about making creative achievement adaptable, supportive, and inclusive for every individual.

We offer a range of Arts Awards opportunities through our workshops, projects, holiday programmes, and community events. Alongside longer-term award pathways, we also offer “Discover in a Day” opportunities during selected regular sessions and special events, allowing children and young people to experience and achieve their first Arts Award in an engaging and accessible way.

We support participants through:

  • Discover

  • Explore

  • Bronze

  • Silver

  • Gold Arts Awards

Our Arts Awards Assessor, Ila Grace, is a professional artist and art educator with over 20 years of experience in the creative industry. She has supported many children and young people in achieving Arts Awards qualifications and is deeply passionate about making visual art education accessible for all.

Her work particularly focuses on supporting SEND children and young people, including those with learning disabilities, by adapting programmes to suit individual needs and creating safe, inclusive, and meaningful creative experiences.

At Art for Artists CIC, we strongly advocate for visual art education and equal access to all art forms. We believe creativity can help children and young people build confidence, develop self-expression, strengthen communication, and create meaningful social connections within their local communities and culture.

Through Arts Awards, we encourage participants to:

  • Explore local culture and creative opportunities

  • Build friendships and social confidence

  • Develop leadership and communication skills

  • Celebrate their identity and creative voice

  • Gain recognised qualifications through accessible creative learning

We also work with:

  • Local schools

  • SEND provisions

  • Community organisations

  • Youth programmes

  • Creative partnerships and festivals

If your school, organisation, or programme would like us to deliver Arts Awards as part of your provision, we would love to hear from you.
